“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” [Philippians 4:13]

The great thing about my school schedule is that I have four days of classes. and a three day weekend. The bad thing about my classes is that I have to give 110% in each of them… As if I had 5 other me’s. It feels like I can survive but it feels like I can’t manage the stress. Last semester was a nightmare. I didn’t even have extremely difficult classes. So much was going on around and inside of me that I only put all my effort in one class. That was my English class. It was a nightmare because I was further from God than I am now.

I’ve grown much closer to Him these last two months. I want to continue to do so. If I’m not close to Him, if I’m not seeking Him, if I don’t allow Him to pour Himself on me, I’m nowhere near a success. God gives me the strength I need to get through each day. That means He will give me the strength to get through this semester. I don’t know what lies ahead, but I do know I’m going to make it. I do know that as long as I keep at God’s side, everything is going to be just fine. God believes in me. I can do all things through Christ. My strength and my discipline come from the Lord. Si se puede! As Rob Schneider says, “You can do it!”

Father, You lift me up when I fall down. You carry me when I am weary. You go before me. You fight the battles for me. It is not by my strength that I have victory, but through Yours. When the world thinks I’m crazy and can’t or shouldn’t do it, You whisper “Let’s go.” These next 16 weeks will not be easy. I don’t want to go down the same path I did last semester. I refuse to. You don’t want me to either. I am closer to You now. I know to cling to You first thing at the sign of trouble. I know to run to the shelter of Your arms when it gets to be too much of a burden. Lord, my life is in Your hands. Your Will be done. I don’t know what is in store, but I know great things lie ahead if I keep running towards You. I never want to stop occupying my streets. I will stay planted where You plant me. I will go where You go. May I be Your hands and feet. Use me to show my world who You are. I want to be more like You. I want to standout. I want all the things You want for me. You and me, together forever.
